This is a great tool for finding education, health promotion, and psychosocial health articles along with research articles. Be sure to use the many limiters such as: gender, age, publication type and clinical queries.

The premier education database including bibliographic citations, abstracts, and some full-text for journal articles, research and technical reports, conference papers and proceedings, program descriptions, teaching guides, and lesson plans.
PsycINFO
Indexes and abstracts journal articles and book chapters in the field of psychology, 1887 to present.

Search Strategies

  • String together synonyms using "OR": "needs assessment" or community research or community based participatory research
  • Limit your topic to the “TI Title”, “AB Abstract”, “SU Subject”, "MW Word in Subject Heading
  • Using the "*" to broaden a term and find different endings: occupational therapy; occupational therapist; occupational therpeutics


 
  • Review the subject headings as a way to find new terms to search: Community Assessment; Community Health Services
