This is a great tool for finding primary medical and research articles. This is the EBSCO version of Medline.
CINAHL
This is a great tool for finding education, health promotion, and psychosocial health articles along with research articles.
PsycINFO
This is a great tool for finding psychology, psychiatry, sociology and medical articles along with research articles.
 

Citing Sources Using APA

The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association is the style manual of choice for many disciplines in the social sciences. The current edition is the sixth (2010).

Medical Subject Headings (MeSH)

  • MeSH is the standardized list of subject terms used in Medline.
  • MeSH terms are created in a hierarchy called a tree stucture.
  • Using MeSH will help broaden or narrow your search
  • MeSH terms can be assigned subheadings which qualify or describe a particular concept of a particular heading
  • Articles are assigned MeSH terms that describe what the article is about.
