Brainstorming a Research Topic
In preparation for writing on a research topic, it is often useful to do a preliminary database search to determine if one has to expand or narrow the focus of their search.
Taking the research topic statement and breaking it down into keywords/concepts is a useful step prior to conducting a database search. You should try to think of as many broader, narrower and synonymous terms as you can.
