  • "Reefer Madness"  Atlantic Monthly cover story from 1994 that provides a good overview of use, trade, and prosecution in America during 70s and 80s.
  • "A Bumper Crop of Hothouse Marijuana"  A Newsweek paragraph from 1988 indicating that Les was part of a national trend.
  • "Inhalants: Dangerous highs"  A brief account of huffing.
  • "Inhalants: the instant, but deadly high"  Aimed at the nursing community, but with a useful summary of information.

  • "The Straight Edge Subculture: Examining the Youths' Drug-free Way"  Treats straight edge subculture as an object of ethnographic research, so a very academic approach, but the "field work" provides some interesting information.
